Crimson / corrupt changes mud to dirt then crimson / corrupt blocks. Vice versa jungle can convert dirt or mud to chlorophyte. It's a never ending battle. Keep in mind the jungle aspect is entirely tied to the chlorophyte, and dirt/mud. This is a relevant difference from corruption/crimson for several reasons.
