WebThis is Phonemic Awareness. Older students who have reading difficulties often have poor phonemic awareness. These task cards make teaching and practicing these skills simple and easy! Phonemic Awareness instruction can be done in whole group, reinforced in small group, and even while waiting in line. These cards coordinate perfectly with my Krafty WebPracticing Phonemic Awareness Activities. Phonemic awareness can take a while to develop - so consistent practice is important. In our phonics program, From Sounds to Spelling, Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers practice phonemic awareness in small amounts of time throughout the day.
